Shipping Policy and Dislaimer

Knit Studio LLC, ships all products via the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Customers have the choice at check-out of choosing depending on the destination and weight of the parcel:

  • First Class Package - Tracked
  • Priority Mail - Tracked and Insured
  • Parcel Select Ground - Tracked
  • Media Mail - Tracked

Processing time for shipping is 2-3 business days regardless of shipping selection for in-stock items. The Knit Studio does not fulfill orders on weekends or holidays. 


At this time The Knit Studio does not offer international shipping.


If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that orders using other delivery options will not have tracking numbers.


If an item goes on back order, we will contact you prior to shipment to obtain approval to ship the part of your order that is in stock and to cancel the remaining portion of your order.


Ownership of packages turned over to USPS transfers to the buyer. The Knit Studio recommends that customers select USPS Priority Mail shipping service to avail of the tracking and insurance options with those services.

The Knit Studio is not responsible for:

  • Lost, held, or damaged packages
  • Delivery errors via carrier
  • Incorrect shipping information
  • Shipments sent to forwarding services
  • Weather related delivery delays

Customers should be aware that shipping is a service purchased along with each order and customers must address any shipping issues directly with USPS.


Priority Mail domestic shipments will have an applicable USPS® tracking barcode to qualify for the included insurance. 

With some exceptions, Priority Mail shipments include up to $100 of insurance.  Visit the USPS website for more details.  

Priority Mail and all other classes of shipments may include up to $200 of insurance via a 3rd party insurer depending on the method used for payment. 

Insurance claims for Priority Mail shipments must be filed by the customer directly with USPS.   Claims for other classes of shipments must be filed by the customer directly with The Knit Studio within 60 days of the date of the shipment.   Claim reimbursements via the 3rd party insurer are net of any reimbursement or refund received from USPS or other parties.


Knit Studio LLC, does not offer winding services for balls, skeins, or hanks of yarn purchased online and/or shipped.
