Finished Size: The hat has an approximate circumference of 22” (56cm) and will stretch to fit. The scarf is 18x54” (46x137cm), or make it any length you wish.
Materials: Fingering or Sock weight, Cashmere: 300 - 900 yards (274 - 823 m)
Gauge: 11 stitches and 10 rows = 2 inches in Stocking stitch
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm), Hook F/5 (3.75mm) if required

Absolute luxury, superbly soft, and very easy to make. Knit (or crochet and knit) this hat and reversible (no wrong side) scarf with a subtle square-in-a-square motif around the hat and down the center of the scarf. The scarf may be warn around the neck or over the head, where the stretch of the design will help it stay in place. On really cold days the scarf may be warn over the hat!

Note: Minimal sewing, just hemming the hat.   The crown of the hat may be knit or crochet (crochet is preferred).
