Keep It Simple Designs
Having been a Flight Attendant for many years, Barbara Selesnick of Keep It Simple Designs has developed her taste in fashion and design from all around the world. Always involved in the arts, she was a self taught knitter as a teenager. Early on she would knit and crochet using published patterns on the market, often tweaking this and tweaking that to allow a garment to match her own vision. It was a natural transition from there to create a pattern line of her own.
Since the launch of Keep It Simple Designs, Barbara has appeared several times on the popular knitting show "Knitty Gritty." Her patterns have been published in several magazines, and she has been written about and quoted in several knitting books and publications. Her patterns are hip and stylish, designed and written with the new knitter in mind. Each pattern features easy and well written instructions with relatively simple techniques. Patterns include "Tips & Tricks" and upscale schematics to aid in the knitting and finishing of the project. She also specializes in sizing garments to fit XS to as high as 6X. Simplicity and style are her goal, along with offering a fun and joyful knitting experience.
Barbara lives in Southern California and teaches knitting techniques in several knitting stores close to home. She and her husband Chris love to garden and hang out with their cat "Nike" (who is all black with white paws and whiskers), and all of their hummingbirds in the garden.
